Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Stress Engineer to join our team in the defence sector. The successful candidate will conduct structural assessments to validate mechanical integrity under operational conditions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct structural assessments to validate mechanical integrity under operational conditions. Estimate, plan, lead, and deliver a variety of structural analysis work packages using both classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools (Hyperworks desirable). Prepare and present comprehensive technical reports, conveying complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management. Develop and improve methods, processes, and tools proactively. Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering their professional growth. Take responsibility and work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to network, influence, and manage internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in a relevant engineering/science discipline or significant experience in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Analysis). Proven experience in structural analysis work packages. Proficiency in classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools (Hyperworks desirable). Strong skills in preparing and presenting technical reports. Proactive and passionate about developing and improving methods, processes, and tools. Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers. Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
