Mechanical Design Engineer – East Lancashire – Special Purpose Machinery – £38-42k + overtime (based on a working week of 37 hours)

Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a successful, bespoke, special purpose machine manufacturer based in East Lancashire.
Key aspects of the Mechanical Design Engineer role include;
* Competent in technical aspects of mechanical design and development of special purpose machinery
* Work under your own initiative producing detailed design drawings
* Knowledge of specialist fabrications, food preparation machinery or clean environment pharmaceutical machinery is preferred
* Successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need experience of working within a drawing office environment – essential.
* Experience of using AutoCAD and 3D to create the designs – essential.
* Have a working knowledge of regulations and codes of practices such as EN standards, CE marking etc.
* Provide a high level of commercial awareness to ensure design solutions are delivered in a cost-effective manner & design changes are managed in accordance with standard operation procedures
* Working hours 8.30-5pm Monday – Thursday and 8.30-2pm on Fridays.
* Single-time overtime paid on all hours worked over 37 per week, regular overtime hours available
The client’s premises are commutable from the following places – Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Denton, Bolton, Bury, Blackburn and Burnley.
