Our client, a prominent organisation in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a Civil Structural Engineer for a contract role in the North West on a hybrid basis. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a significant project in the nuclear industry, requiring specialised expertise and SC Clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing, evaluating, and implementing structural solutions for nuclear facilities
* Performing rigorous structural analyses to ensure the integrity and safety of nuclear infrastructure
* Developing detailed engineering reports and presentations based on analysis
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met
* Ensuring compliance with relevant nuclear and structural engineering standards
* Inspecting and supervising on-site structural works to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety
* Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams
* Liaising with clients and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project delivery
Job Requirements:
* Experience in structural engineering within the nuclear sector
* SC Clearance is mandatory for this role
* Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
* Strong understanding of nuclear safety standards and regulations
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
* Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
