About the Role:
We’re recruiting for a Paralegal / Residential Conveyancing Assistant to join a well-established and high-performing conveyancing team within a leading UK law firm. This role offers the opportunity to work within a structured, supportive environment, providing a high-quality and customer-focused conveyancing service.
You will play a key role in managing and progressing residential property transactions, supporting both sales and purchases from instruction through to post-completion. Working closely with colleagues across the wider team, you’ll ensure smooth transaction management while delivering excellent service to clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior conveyancing experience who is looking to further develop their career, with access to strong training and the potential to work towards professional qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Management & Administration
* Handle key functions within residential conveyancing transactions with minimal supervision
* Support the progression of both sale and purchase transactions
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the case management system
* Keep task reports updated on a daily basis
Client & Stakeholder Communication
* Deal with client queries efficiently and professionally
* Maintain regular communication with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with work providers
Process & Compliance
* Ensure all transactions are progressed in line with best practice and internal processes
* Manage post-completion work and ensure all documentation is handled correctly
* Maintain organised and accurate file management, including filing and file closures
General Support Duties
* Draft non-technical correspondence where required
* Support general office administration tasks including post handling and documentation
* Work collaboratively with wider teams including new business and accounts
Candidate Profile:
* Previous experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal or Assistant
* Strong understanding of the full conveyancing lifecycle, including post-completion
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and case management systems
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Adaptable, proactive and able to work under pressure
