I am currently representing Islington Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3- 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Project Manager this role will be: N1 2UD Hybrid
The right candidate will:
As a project manager within the capital delivery team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering medium-to-large-scale regeneration projects through all RIBA stages. This will involve procuring, appointing, and managing multidisciplinary consultants and main works contractors, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and identifying and appropriately managing risks.
* To lead on and manage through all RIBA plan of work stages a portfolio of medium-to large-scale and complex regeneration building projects with a combined value in the region of £10m
* Manage multi-disciplinary professional consultant project teams of up to 20 individuals, consisting of highly qualified professionals and other regeneration project delivery staff. Direct the work of all external consultants and manage the performance of all project team members to drive the delivery of the council’s ambitious regeneration programme.
* To drive delivery and manage performance of your regeneration project team or teams. To set milestones and targets through scheme appraisal and monthly 121 recorded meetings with your Team Leader. To take appropriate action to ensure your projects meet all their objectives.
* To use your extensive construction/building regeneration knowledge, skills and experience to drive project delivery and mitigate risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget and achieve value for money and meet all their project milestones.
We require the following:
* Experience of supervising others within a built environment multi-disciplinary consultancy team concerned with preparing and implementing regeneration building projects.
* Experience of managing building projects and programme budgets, undertaking complex financial appraisals, and submission of bids for external funding for regeneration projects
* Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of planning law, requirements and process, including CIL and Section 106 agreements
