What you’ll do:
* Review drawings and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for contract bids, ensuring all plans and documentation are thoroughly analysed.
* Serve as the primary contact for suppliers, sub‑contractors, estimators, designers, engineers, and architects to gather all necessary information for comprehensive bid submissions.
* Assess designs for alternative materials and prepare estimates in line with contractor guidelines.
* Adapt to varying workloads and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and strong attention to detail.
* Maintain strict confidentiality of company, client, supplier, and employee information.
* Apply strong analytical and observational skills to guide decision‑making and bid strategy.
* Utilise computer software including On‑Screen Take‑off, pricing tools, Word, Excel, and Outlook to streamline the estimating process.
What we’re looking for:
* Experienced Estimators within the Landscape Construction industry. Experience in groundworks estimating or the drainage sector, particularly sustainable urban drainage, would be highly advantageous.
* You’ll have a strong commercial background in bid and tender management across both hard and soft landscaping, as well as:
* Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to independently shape well‑structured solutions.
* Strong commercial acumen, with a good working understanding of frameworks, contracts, and risk management.
* Proven experience in understanding and developing service solutions efficiently.
* A track record of success in winning and retaining accounts within the service industry.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
* A hands‑on approach, you’ll be actively involved in the work, without needing to delegate.
