Responsibilities
:
1. Lead risk-based technical assurance, reviewing and approving engineering deliverables.
2. Ensure design and construction meet standards, regulations, and contractual requirements.
3. Act as NEC3 Supervisor and Principal Designer (CDM ) Representative.
4. Communicate engineering requirements to contractors and delivery partners.
5. Provide technical guidance, promote best practice, and drive consistent design solutions.
6. Support engineering risk identification, mitigation, and reporting.
7. Collaborate with project, commercial, environmental, and systems teams to manage change, cost, and programme impacts.
8. Coordinate technical interfaces across contracts and disciplines.
Experience Needed:
9. Proven technical leadership and problem-solving in multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
10. Strong understanding of UK construction regulations,
11. CDM, and commercial implications.
12. Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience preferred.
Decision Making
13. Approve technical deliverables and confirm compliance.
14. Identify defects and confirm construction compliance.
15. Assess technical impacts of change within authority.
16. Represent the organisation independently with contractors.
