GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and engaging Religious Studies Teacher to join a supportive school in Bilborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who inspires students to explore diverse beliefs, values, and moral questions in a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities as a Religious Studies Teacher:
* Deliver well-structured, thought-provoking lessons in line with the Religious Education curriculum.
* Encourage respectful dialogue and critical thinking around ethical, philosophical, and religious topics.
* Support students in developing analytical writing and debating skills.
* Foster an inclusive and reflective classroom culture that promotes mutual understanding and tolerance.
* Contribute to whole-school initiatives and enrichment activities that support personal, social, and moral development.
Requirements for Religious Studies Teacher:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Previous experience teaching RE or Religious Studies in a school setting is desirable.
* A strong command of the subject and enthusiasm for philosophy, ethics, and world religions.
* Excellent communication, classroom, and behaviour management skills.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained.
