Grant Thornton provides audit, tax and advisory services and empowers clients through strategic insight, curiosity, and genuine partnership. The Real Estate Tax (RET) team helps clients transform real estate into greater assets by delivering tax structuring, compliance, and due‑diligence advice across the UK and pan‑European markets.
Responsibilities
* Support clients’ tax compliance requirements and related tax advisory work.
* Lead and develop junior team members, providing career coaching and guidance.
* Deliver high‑quality work on multi‑jurisdictional real‑estate and infrastructure transactions, including deals ranging from £60m to over £1bn.
* Own your own workload as a self‑starter and collaborate with partners and directors to build and maintain key client relationships.
* Engage with the broader tax teams to deliver integrated solutions and uphold the firm’s standards of quality and integrity.
Qualifications
Required:
* Qualified as CTA / ACA / ACCA / ATT or equivalent UK corporate‑tax qualification.
* UK corporate tax experience, preferably in the Real Estate sector.
* Proven experience monitoring junior team members’ work and coaching.
Desirable:
* UK Real Estate market experience.
* Tax structuring expertise for buying and selling properties tax‑efficiently.
* Collaboration with partners and directors to build key account relationships.
* International tax advice and due‑diligence services on cross‑border transactions.
* Participation in business development initiatives and proposal activity.
* Tax compliance advisory for ongoing client requirements.
* Knowledge of setting up property funds, including UK REITs.
