Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Marine)
We're looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing marine engineering team, delivering complex projects in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The Role
You'll lead technical delivery on electrical design projects, working independently while mentoring engineers and ensuring high-quality, on-time, on-budget delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver complex electrical design solutions and technical documentation
* Lead technical reviews and support project planning
* Act as a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders
* Mentor junior engineers and support team development
* Ensure compliance with QMS, safety, and regulatory standards
* Identify cost savings and support commercial delivery
Key Skills & Experience
* Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
* 7+ years in engineering (Marine, Aerospace, Automotive, Energy or similar)
* Strong experience in:
o Electrical system design
o Schematic analysis
o Cable management & segregation
o Load calculations
* Tools: Siemens NX, FORAN, ShipConstructor, Windchill (desirable)
Desirable
* Naval ship or marine cable network experience
