IT Assistant – £ 25k – £ 40k dependant on experience – Flintshire
The Role

We're looking for an IT Assistant to join our internal IT team. You'll play a key role in supporting and maintaining the organisation's IT systems, working closely with the IT Manager. From hardware installations and troubleshooting to supporting software updates and user training, your contribution will help keep everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
You'll be involved in a wide range of tasks, including:
Providing technical support to users, resolving hardware and software issues
Installing and configuring systems, networks, and peripherals
Supporting the setup and maintenance of servers, routers, and switches
Monitoring system security and maintaining antivirus/firewall protection
Assisting with data backups and disaster recovery procedures
Managing user accounts and permissions across applications
Supporting software updates, patches, and user training
Documenting procedures and maintaining IT records
Helping deliver IT projects and upgrades
Supporting CAD systems and ERP applications
Handling network cabling installations and telephone system programming
Providing IT support for Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and related systems

The Person
We're looking for someone who brings:
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and 365
Solid understanding of IT concepts – software, hardware, networks, cloud
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
A willingness to learn and grow within the IT field
Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
Educated to A level standard with an IT-related qualification
