Deputy Chief Operating Officer - Consumer Finance | London (Hybrid) Up to £160,000 Bonus Benefits Our client, a leading name in consumer finance, is seeking a commercially astute and analytically minded Deputy Chief Operating Officer to join their senior leadership team. This is a strategic, high-impact role designed for a data-driven operator with a consultancy background and a proven ability to deliver meaningful change across complex businesses. You'll be supporting the COO in driving operational excellence across a fast-paced, regulated environment, with a focus on business performance, process improvement, and data-led transformation including the application of AI technologies to drive operational efficiencies. This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite in London. Candidates must be within commuting distance. Responsibilities: Lead and support operational initiatives across key business functions Analyse complex data sets to generate actionable insights and monitor performance Collaborate cross-functionally to identify early issues and deliver long-term solutions Drive innovation using AI tools to enhance processes, automation, and decision-making Own delivery of key strategic projects from planning through execution Act as a key advisor and operational partner to the COO Represent the COO across the senior leadership team, helping to shape and execute the company's strategic vision What we're looking for: MBA-qualified, with strong academic background in business, finance, or related fields 2-4 years' experience in a top-tier consultancy (Big 4 or equivalent), with exposure to financial services or transformation projects Deep understanding of consumer finance operations and regulatory frameworks Hands-on experience applying AI, automation or advanced analytics in a business operations setting Strong commercial and operational acumen with experience owning or influencing P&L Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset and comfort working across data, process, and delivery Proven ability to work across functions and deliver change in fast-paced environments Why apply?
