Chef de Rang – Fine Dining Restaurant, The Cotswolds
Location: Kingham, The Cotswolds
Salary: Approx. £30,000–£40,000 per annum OTE (base salary plus gratuities/service charge)
Hours: Full-time, 45 hours/week, any 5 days in 7 (including weekends)

About the Role
We’re seeking a polished, passionate Chef de Rang to join the front of house team in a celebrated fine dining restaurant and boutique hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. You will be responsible for running your own section with excellence, ensuring every guest receives attentive, refined, and memorable service.
You’ll work closely with the kitchen, wine/bar teams, and management to bring the menu to life, represent the provenance and story behind our dishes, and enhance the guest experience with warmth and precision.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage a dedicated section during service smoothly and professionally
* Present dishes and beverages with confidence; explain ingredients, provenance, and preparation to guests where needed
* Deliver impeccable timing, table setup, and flow of service
* Be attentive to guest needs, anticipating requests, and ensuring satisfaction throughout meal
* Liaise with bar and wine teams to support recommendations and upsell pairings
* Handle dietary/allergen queries with knowledge and care
* Maintain high standards of appearance, grooming, and professionalism
* Support other FOH colleagues and step in where needed during peak or events

What We’re Looking For
* Prior experience as a Chef de Rang or in a similar fine dining/service-led role
* Strong knowledge of food & beverages; wine/cocktail knowledge a plus
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with guests
* High attention to detail and consistency in service
* Calm, composed, and able to perform well under pressure
* Reliable, flexible, and committed to maintaining standards
