As the Estimator you will work closely with the preconstruction team and Senior estimators in the compilation and submission of winning tenders for a range of projects from £20m+. You will develop positive relationships and your commercial insight will see you thrive in this position.
Day to day duties:
1. Arrange site inspections.
2. Provide accurate budgets/cost plans.
3. Provide detailed "take-off" and Bill of Quantities (BQ)
4. Work on traditional Plan and Specification, Design and Build and possibly Partnered Contracts.
5. Obtain competitive prices for materials and sub-contract packages.
6. Oversee or complete quote analysis comparisons.
7. Check and amend rate/price build-ups where necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
8. Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
9. Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
10. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
11. Attention to detail and accuracy.
12. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
13. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
