Vehicle Engine Specialist
1. Grays, Essex
2. £30k - £50k depending on experience
3. Monday – Friday 08:00 – 18:00 (No Weekends)
4. All tools supplied
If you’re a detail-focused, mechanically minded engineer with a passion for engines – this is the role for you.
We’re working with an independent specialist business based in Grays that’s known for excellence. Due to continued demand, they’re looking to add to their skilled team.
You’ll work with a team of very skilled technicians with a guarantee of variety and challenge daily.
This position would suit someone with proven mechanical skills – and the ability of removing and replacing car engines.

Key Responsibilities of the engine specialist:
10. Strip, inspect, assess, remove rebuild, and fit engines
11. Diagnose faults and report findings in detail
12. Work from technical drawings and engine schematics
13. Maintain accurate build records and measurements
14. Operate specialist measuring tools and test equipment
15. Support engine dyno testing and running-in sessions
Requirements:
16. Hands-on experience in engine building – automotive, motorcycle or motorsport
17. Understanding of ignition systems (magneto/coil), carburettors
18. Able to manage own workload and hit deadlines
19. Superb attention to detail – this is a quality-first environment
20. A team player who values precision over volume
