About The Role
If you are looking for a proactive and flexible way of supporting the work of Alzheimer’s Society, then we’d love to hear from you! We are looking for volunteers to support us with a bucket collection as part of Dementia Action Week at the Sunderland v Chelsea match on Sunday 24th May 2026 at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland SR5 1SU. The collection will take place outside the stadium and there is no access into the stadium for volunteers. Volunteers will be expected to attend from 2.30pm - 4.00pm. A full volunteer briefing, tabards and collection buckets will be provided on the day. No previous experience is necessary - just enthusiasm and a smile!
Throughout the year we hold many exciting community events which help us to continue our work supporting everyone affected by dementia. By volunteering at these events you will be helping us to ensure that everyone who attends has a great experience and leaves feeling passionate about our cause.
You could help at a one-off event or choose to support at several events in your local area throughout the year.
You may be supporting fundraising activity at events, for example holding collection buckets or selling merchandise. You might be helping to raise awareness about dementia and our services, for example handing out flyers or you could be meeting and greeting attendees.
