An SEMH school based in Cranbrook is currently seeking motivated teaching assistants to join their team. Both part-time and full-time roles are available, with immediate or January 2025 start dates.
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work with students who have diverse social, emotional, and mental health needs. Your role involves supporting teachers in delivering assistance to help students engage with their learning, boost their confidence, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant
* Manage and support students with emotional or behavioral challenges using appropriate strategies.
* Work closely with the class teacher to prepare resources and adapt lessons to meet students' specific needs.
* Support students on a one-to-one or group basis within the classroom and throughout the school day.
* Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils.
Requirements
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
* Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
* Relevant experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Be able to provide two references from within the last 2 years.
