Are you passionate about making a difference for residents’ and visitors’ travel choices in a forward-thinking and innovative organisation?
Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Programme Planner to join our Highways, Transport & Design service here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
This is an exciting time for transport in Stockton-on-Tees, and the wider Tees Valley. We are working in partnership with Tees Valley Combined Authority and other partners to deliver a programme of transport schemes that will enable residents and visitors to travel more sustainably within the borough.
The successful candidate will assist and, where appropriate, lead in the development and delivery of a portfolio of transport projects. As Programme Planner, you will be specifically responsible for the client role and programme management of exciting transport projects.
You will receive excellent support and join a welcoming, supportive team.
We are keen to hear from individuals with the following:
* Experience of successful project/programme management and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
* Experience working in or with public sector organisations.

* Ability to understand and communicate complex technical issues to a wide range of stakeholders.

In return, we offer an excellent total reward package, including:
* A competitive salary of up to £38,223.
* Flexible working arrangements – working onsite at our new main office in central Stockton, at other Council buildings within the borough (where appropriate), and some remote work.
* 27 days annual leave per year, rising to 32 with 5 years of service. Additional leave options are available.
* Generous Pension Scheme through LGPS with options to pay extra for retirement planning.
* Access to employee benefits including counselling services, physiotherapy, salary sacrifice car lease scheme, and more.
