Buyer / Document Control Assistant Super-Prime Contractor Location: Central London Salary: £38,000 £45,000 (depending on experience) bonus benefits Type: Permanent The Company Our client is a highly respected super-prime main contractor, established for over 20 years, specialising in the delivery of exceptional private residential and boutique commercial schemes across London and the southern home counties. Known for their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and client-focused approach, they work on some of the most prestigious addresses in the UK for UHNWI, celebrity, and design-led clients. With a strong pipeline of new work and continued company growth, they are now looking to appoint a Buyer / Document Control Assistant to support both their project delivery and head office operations. The Role This is a diverse, hands-on position suitable for someone with 25 years experience in construction procurement, buying, or document control. Youll be responsible for coordinating the purchase of materials and assisting the project teams with document management, ensuring information flow and record keeping through Procore remains accurate and up to date. Youll work closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and Site Teams, providing vital administrative and procurement support across a range of super-prime projects. Key Responsibilities Procurement (Materials Buying) Source, price, and procure construction materials, fixtures, and consumables in line with project specifications and budgets. Raise and track purchase orders, ensuring timely deliveries to site. Liaise with suppliers to confirm lead times, quality standards, and availability. Maintain and update procurement logs and schedules. Build and maintain strong relationships with trusted suppliers and manufacturers within the luxury construction sector. Document Control (Procore) Assist with managing project documentation, drawings, RFIs, and submittals through Procore. Ensure all project files and communications are properly logged and distributed. Support project teams by maintaining version control and filing key project records. Coordinate the submission and approval of supplier documentation, O&M information, and technical data. General Support Provide general administrative and organisational support to project and commercial teams. Assist with invoice approvals and procurement administration. Contribute to the smooth running of the head office and site administration processes. Skills & Experience 25 years experience in construction buying, procurement coordination, or document control. Familiar with Procore or other construction management platforms. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Confident communicator with strong supplier-facing and internal coordination skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge of luxury construction or bespoke fit-out projects is an advantage.
