We are currently recruiting for a well-known manufacturer within the Leamington area, seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Technician to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity, ideally suited to someone with previous experience.
Purpose of the Job:
* To assure the quality of all products purchased from suppliers.
* To provide assistance and support to internal issues or outgoing inspection where required.
Duties:
* Help drive the quality culture across the business.
* Assure the quality of both internal and external supplier components through inspection (dimensional and visual) using drawings, specifications, and equipment.
* Conduct incoming parts inspection against FAIRS, ISIR.
* Review, approve, and provide technical support for supplier PPAP submissions within the scope of AIAG manuals for APQP and PPAP in line with company Business Systems.
* Work with suppliers to ensure project readiness through the product and process validation stages against strict timelines.
* Assist with the maintenance of all measurement equipment in line with the calibration system.
* Assist in CAPA using quality toolbox & 8D.
* Ensure understanding and compliance with Health and Safety regulations at all times.
* Assist, where applicable, to ensure that the company maintains all externally accredited certifications and works within relevant guidelines.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Ability to read drawings and understand technical specifications.
* Previous experience using PPAP, MSA, CMM, or similar equipment.
* Ability to use intermediate measurement equipment.
* Ability to analyze and report data and measurements.
* Understanding of business systems such as OneERP/SAP.
* Strong team-working skills and the ability to identify when a team approach is required.
* Proactive attitude with a 'can do' approach.
* Desire to complete and gain Quality Qualifications, working towards a Quality Assurance Technician status.
Beneficial Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience working to IATF16494 standard or equivalent.
* Knowledge of CMM or similar laboratory equipment.
* Experience with MSA (Measurement System Analysis).
