Description
The Associate Research Analyst is responsible for conducting comprehensive research on law and consulting firms, individuals and their practices, drawing on multiple sources including firm submissions, interviews and market intelligence. Analysts are expected to synthesize this information into accurate rankings and high-quality editorial content. This role requires the use of AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency in research and writing. Research Analysts will demonstrate strong analytical skills, structured interviewing techniques and the ability to collect valuable data and generate insights that enhance the depth and quality of our products.
Key Responsibilities
* Research & Analysis: Conduct research for assigned jurisdictions or practice areas, including collecting, verifying and analysing data from submissions, interviews and public sources.
* Data Synthesis: Combine multiple data points to identify trends, differentiators, and strategic priorities within the legal market.
* Interviewing: Conduct structured interviews with lawyers and corporate contacts to extract high‑value proprietary insights that contribute to robust rankings and editorial outputs.
* AI-Assisted Workflows: Use AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of output, including in relation to editorial content production.
* Editorial Contribution: Produce clear, insightful analysis of research findings and draft high-quality content for rankings and profiles.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain professional communication with law firms and market contacts, representing the brand effectively. Develop knowledge and relationships with related teams.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent written English and verbal communication.
* Ability to manage multiple research projects independently and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in research systems and ability to harness AI tools effectively including effective quality assurance.
* Skilled in conducting structured interviews and extracting meaningful insights.
* Organised, detail‑oriented, and adaptable.
