Mid Argyll and Kintyre are situated in one of the most scenic parts of the West Coast of Scotland, offering great opportunities for exploring the outdoors, including events like the Mid Argyll Triathlon and the Mull of Kintyre (MOK) run, which attract athletes from across Scotland.
The beautiful islands of Arran, Jura, Gigha, and Islay, all accessible via daily ferry services, are perfect for day trips or weekend getaways. The main town of Oban is approximately a 50-minute drive from Mid Argyll.
This role will allow you to develop your clinical and non-clinical skills in line with the NHS Education for Scotland (NES) post-registration foundation programme. You will deliver increasingly complex, person-centred care across various settings, develop prescribing capabilities, and work closely with our pharmacy and wider multiprofessional teams. You will be supported by an educational supervisor and experienced pharmacy teams throughout your training.
The Mid Argyll, Kintyre & Islay pharmacy team provides clinical pharmacy input into mental health services, community hospitals, and GP practices. The rural setting offers variety and opportunities to develop new skills. Please note, remote working is not suitable for this post.
