This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Public Health Protection Unit (PHPU) as a permanent Health Protection Epidemiologist NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the largest health board in Scotland and provides a Public Health Protection Service to over 1.2 million people. The post holder will be based within the Public Health Protection Unit, 1st Floor, West House, Gartnavel Royal Hospital Campus. We are seeking to appoint a new permanent member of staff to our Public Health team. The postholder will work as a key member of our interdisciplinary team across a range of subjects. They require to have a high degree of applied/ field epidemiology knowledge and be able to marry theory and practice. Highly developed analytical skills are essential as is the ability to deal with a rapidly changing filed of knowledge. Excellent communication skills are needed to be able to present data to a wider range of stakeholders. The Public Health Department operates 7 days per week with this post working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
