Hays Education are currently working with a large SEN college in Wrexham to recruit an experienced tutor to join their teaching team. We are looking for an energetic andmitted tutor who will be able to support small groups of students with employability and life skills sessions.
Your newpany
The college supports and cares for young people aged 16 to 25 years of age with autism. You will join an experienced, passionate, and ambitious teaching and support team who provide a safe and supportive learning environment for young people to flourish. As an employability and life skills tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting young people developing confidence and skills they need for their next stage of their journey outside of education.
Your new role
You will have experience teaching young people aged 16 – 25 years of age employability and life skills. As a tutor you will work with small groups and students and with students on a 1:1 basis to support them developing their skills and to allow them to live as independently as possible. You will plan and deliver bespoke and personalised lessons that engage the sound people you are teaching.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you will need to have:
1. Qualified teacher status.
2. Experience delivering employability and life skills lessons
3. Experience working within an SEN school, but not essential
4. An up to date DBS or willingness to get one.
5. The ability to provide an inspiring, engaging and safe learning environment.
