Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Clerk to Governors to support our dedicated Governing Body at Reigate Priory School. The Clerk provides an efficient and professional clerking service to the Governing Body, including procedural advice for statutory obligations and administrative support for fulfilling strategic functions.


Responsibilities

* Provide clerking services to the Governing Body and minute all Governor Committee Meetings (approximately 6 per term) and the Full Governing Body (FGB) meetings.
* Advise on procedures for carrying out statutory obligations and support the management of meetings and non-routine correspondence on behalf of the Governing Body.
* Support the appointment processes for new governors and manage meeting scheduling with evening meetings scheduled in advance when required.
* Prepare and maintain documentation, communications, and records with confidentiality at all times.
* Report to the Chair of Governors and provide administrative support for strategic functions.


Hours, Location and Training

The role is based on 7 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year, with some evening meetings (normally from 4.30pm to 6.30pm).

The successful applicant will predominantly work from home and have access to a computer and the internet. Full training will be provided.


Salary

Salary is within Surrey Pay PS7 (£33,552 - £35,763 FTE), pro rata £5,612 - £5,982.
