About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Content Management Transformation Manager to take ownership of transforming and evolving our Assessment Item Bank operating model - a core asset underpinning high-quality, high-stakes assessment delivery. This role will shape the future direction, user experience, scalability, and integrity of item bank systems, ensuring they support secure, reliable, and psychometrically robust assessment products. Working in close partnership with the Operations Director, the role will lead the delivery of enhanced processes, workflows, and systems that align with our regulatory ambitions and global growth strategy.
This position sits at the heart of assessment excellence, supporting the development and maintenance of item banks that meet the demands of high-stakes testing, including adaptive and large-scale digital assessments. Working closely with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Operations, and Content, the role will define and manage a clear development roadmap that balances user needs, business priorities, and industry standards. Collaboration will be key to ensuring alignment across teams and with external partners, while maintaining a strong focus on content quality, security, and assessment validity.
The role requires strong ownership across planning, decision-making, and delivery. Responsibilities include identifying user and business needs, shaping effective workflows, and driving continuous improvement across content production and calibration processes. A key focus will be on enabling efficient and high-quality content development, including exploring the use of AI-assisted tools and strengthening supplier partnerships. The role will also oversee onboarding and training for contributors, ensuring all processes support consistency, quality, and compliance with assessment standards.
Success in this role will be measured through the delivery of a secure, high-quality, and trusted item bank that supports assessment delivery without compromise. This includes achieving strong stakeholder alignment, high levels of user adoption, and measurable improvements in workflow efficiency and quality. The role will play a critical part in supporting regulatory ambitions, safeguarding content, and enabling the continued evolution of a robust, globally relevant assessment ecosystem.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
