Our new Midday Supervisor will work as part of a team of 4 to ensure that our children have a healthy, active and safe lunch time. The role requires flexibility to work indoors and outdoors in different weather throughout the year. This is a part-time position, working 5 hours per week, on a term-time only basis (39 weeks per year). The successful candidate will: Enjoy working with children Have a positive, professional and proactive attitude and perform their role to the best of their ability at all times Prepare the dining area for lunch, including setting out chairs and tables. Supervise toileting and washroom activities. Escort children to and from the dining room. Supervise the collection of meals and assist pupils with the use of cutlery. Assist pupils with returning used plates, trays, cutlery, and glasses/beakers, as well as clearing tables. Supervise pupils eating packed lunches and ensure all equipment is cleared away. Oversee classroom and outdoor activities, encouraging inclusion and positive interaction. Ensure an orderly return to the classroom after lunch. Attend to minor accidents or pupils who feel unwell, providing care as needed. Report to the Senior Midday Supervisor (SMDS) if an accident occurs or a pupil becomes ill. Monitor pupil behaviour and intervene as necessary, in line with the school’s behaviour policy. Inform the SMDS of any breaches of school rules.
