Role: Maths Teacher
Location: Paignton
Contract: Full time, permanent (40 hours per week, term time)
Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

We are excited to be working on behalf of a well-established specialist school in the Paignton area to recruit a qualified and passionate Maths Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a full time, term time role within a nurturing setting that supports pupils aged 7 - 18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This independent provision is committed to delivering a tailored curriculum that promotes both academic progress and emotional resilience. Pupils are supported in small groups with high staff-to-student rations, allowing for truly individualised teaching in a supportive and therapeutic environment.
The Role:
* Deliver high-quality Maths teaching to students across KS2 to KS4 with SEMH needs
* Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and reaching their full potential
* Implement positive behaviour strategies and contribute to a whole school ethos of care, consistency and high expectations
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including pastoral staff and therapists
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* QTS, PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualifications
* Experience working in a SEND or alternative provision, particularly SEMH
* A solid understanding of positive behaviour support strategies and safeguarding
* Strong knowledge of current Maths curriculum developments
* The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet aries learning needs and promote positive outcomes
