Overview
Software Engineer role based in Manchester with Naimuri. You will work on applications and systems used by one of our largest customers. Projects may include upgrading or re-platforming an existing application, developing a new one, or building solutions that will become the backbone of the customer’s software for years to come.
Responsibilities
* Work from the Manchester office (and/or our customer’s office) and collaborate closely with internal and customer teams.
* Design, implement, integrate, document, and maintain software solutions.
* Collaborate with Product Owners and end users to deliver incremental value using Agile methods.
* Full stack development using front-end technologies (e.g., React), backend technologies (e.g., Java), and databases (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
* Work in a containerised environment and use Cloud technologies to build innovative applications.
* Adopt a DevOps approach to manage multiple environments using GitLab, ArgoCD and Kubernetes.
* Take accountability for quality and security as a team, including pair programming and code reviews.
About You / Qualifications
* Experience developing software solutions and solid fundamentals in software development, systems integration, problem solving, and teamwork.
* Opinions on good code (front-end or back-end), deployment, and operating systems on Kubernetes.
* Degree in a related field or demonstrated path taken to build skills.
* Security clearance process may be required if successful (details discussed at interview).
Pay and Benefits
* Competitive salary aligned with location and experience; seniority assessed during interviewing.
* Full-time 37.5 hours per week with flexibility; part-time options may be discussed.
* Core hours 10:00–15:00; office hours 07:30–18:00, Monday to Friday.
* Hybrid/office-based collaboration in Manchester; possible customer site or occasional travel to London.
