Role: To main purpose of this role is to prioritise the assembly orders, ensure all component parts are available, plan the orders onto the various workstations and allocate the appropriate resource to carry out the required tasks. Key accountabilities: * Organisation of team, equipment, paperwork and general area, prioritising workload at all times to meet customer requirements detailed in the planning spreadsheet. * Print and allocate all paperwork labels required for the assemblies * Plan teams short term absence for activities such as training, medical appointments, moulding coverage etc to minimise the impact on the team’s objectives. * Update fire register/attendance in the morning and throughout the day if necessary (Including labour transfer, meetings or any other non-productive hrs * Check and update BOR and change tables where required * Check priority orders and update planning sheet while Update table rota based on priorities * Book orders and update Planning spreadsheet. * Check and update IFS stock when any inaccuracies are noticed. Communicate this with Planning Department. * Liaise with Planning Department on orders that needs adjusting or order queries as well as Closing down orders when required * Liaise with WHS on ordering new parts or chasing existing requests & Planning on ordering new parts or chasing existing planned orders or parts. * Liaise with Purchasing to order the departments consumables such as stationary, containers, hand tools etc * Liaise with Purchasing on component parts (seals, hoses, foam etc) and follow up where need it. * Write SysAid tickets & follow up with IT Team. * Attend planning & customer service meetings in manager's absence. * Liaise with Production Trainer on planned trainings. * Apply a culture of continuous improvement in conjunction with the Assembly Manager to work towards directly improving department KPIs. * Work with the Assembly Management team to actively support and encourage company and departmental initiatives. * Demonstrate, promote and encourage the Company Values and relevant behaviours. Person Specification: * Excellent organisation skills with ability to use a variety of information sources to maximise individual and teams’ performance to meet departmental and company objectives. * Confidence and ability to manage varied, complex and changing day to day individual and team activities remaining open in communication with Assembly Manager. * Ability to work with the Management team to achieve departmental and company objectives. * Ability to identify and drive positive change in self, individuals, teams and processes while having Understanding of the Business requirements to plan dynamically for maximum benefit. * Strong H&S and general housekeeping awareness and knowledge with Willingness to undertake any relevant training sessions & Excellent communication skills. * Computer literate and able to use the company system (IFS) or similar MRP systems.
