Summary:
The Rivers Hospital is one of the leading private hospitals in the UK and is located in Sawbridgeworth on the Essex, Hertfordshire border in beautiful countryside.
The hospital is equipped with the latest medical facilities for diagnosis and treatment, and has very high quality clinical standards including effective infection prevention measures. By investing in advanced medical technology, the hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services.
The five fully equipped theatres with ultra clean air technology are particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures offered such as arthroscopy, hip and knee replacement. Two-day surgery suites are suitable for minor surgery and endoscopy procedures.
The role:
As the Catering Assistant you will be reporting to the Catering Supervisor you will provide a high standard of catering service, as part of the support services team.
Experience is not essential as we will provide all training necessary for the position although it will benefit you if you have worked previously in a fast-paced environment to high standards.

Key responsibilities will include:
1. Possess Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate for Catering (if not already held company funded training must be undertaken)
2. To obtain food and beverage orders from patients, staff and visitors to the hospital
3. To assist in the preparation and service of food to patients, staff and visitors to the hospital
4. To clean on a daily basis all areas of the catering department to the agreed standard
5. To have a good understanding of current health and hygiene regulations, and ensure that these are adhered to in the preparation and service of all foodstuffs
