Your new role, what’s involved?

* Managing your own projects
* Carrying out below ground utility and drainage surveys
* Quality Assurance – Ensuring standards are followed on site and in the office
* Mentoring junior team members

Your team

* Surveying Services (UK)
* Working within a team of 28 surveyors based across the UK, including Topographical, Measured Building & Buried Services Surveyors and UAV Pilots.
* Primarily working on surveying projects in Scotland
* Serving a varied client base from Local Authorities to Multi-Discipline Consultants
* Reporting to survey team leads in Edinburgh/Glasgow
* Located in city-based offices with excellent transport links, shops, cafes, parking, and train stations nearby
* Promoting the power of integrated geospatial technologies to bring locational data to life

We’d love to hear from you if you have

* QCF Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications in Utility Mapping and Surveying, or a relevant degree, HND, or specialist module in engineering. Candidates with suitable skills and experience will also be considered.
* Proven experience in conducting fieldwork for below ground utility and drainage surveys using Electromagnetic and GPR techniques, with familiarity with PAS128 standards and GPR data processing.
* Experience in processing fieldwork data into 2D & 3D CAD drawings and survey reports.
* Experience with total stations and GNSS equipment.
* Topographical survey experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong communication skills for interacting with the public and team members, and ability to work effectively in all weather conditions, including at night.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).
* Ability to critically evaluate work produced by others, including drawings, calculations, and reports.
* Contributing to technical excellence and innovation within the team.
* A full UK driving license, as travel across the country is required.
