Geotechnical Design Engineer
Join Westney Consulting Group as a Geotechnical Design Engineer. This permanent role is based in Durham, North Yorkshire, or West Yorkshire with hybrid working – 2 days from home.
Salary: £40,000 – £47,000 per annum.

Responsibilities
* Produce design ground models and characteristic soil and rock geotechnical parameters.
* Manage and mentor other team members.
* Attend and supervise ground investigation sites when necessary.
* Conduct Serviceability and Ultimate Limit State geotechnical design calculations.
* Produce concept and detailed design.
* Achieve delivery targets for quality, cost, and time efficiency.
Requirements
* Working towards or achieved Chartered Engineer status.
* Previous geotechnical design experience, including retaining walls, soil nail/rock anchors, foundations, and scheme design drawings.
* Knowledge of ground modelling.
* Knowledge of Eurocode standards.
* Proficient with AutoCAD.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Previous experience in settlement and bearing capacity calculations, and ground investigation procurement and management.
* Ideal candidates will have highway experience, though not required.
