We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs within our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning, development, and wellbeing during their earliest years of education.
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, you will help create an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and able to achieve their full potential.

Salary: £14.30 - £15.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for children with additional learning needs
- Assist in adapting learning activities and resources to meet individual needs
- Support children with communication, social interaction, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and external agencies when required
- Help maintain a structured, engaging, and safe learning environment
- Contribute to observations, record keeping, and EHCP targets where relevant
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families
- Promote the school’s safeguarding values and always prioritise pupil wellbeing
We’re Looking For Someone Who…
- Has experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, speech and language needs, behavioural needs)
- Has a good understanding of EYFS child development
- Is patient, caring, and highly resilient
- Can use their initiative and work collaboratively within a team
- Communicates clearly and professionally with parents and colleagues
- Is committed to inclusive practice and supporting every child’s unique needs
- Holds a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (desirable, not essential)
