Based at CCTV Control Centre, Ty Elai, Williamstown
The CCTV Unit provides monitored closed circuit television coverage within the County Borough. As a CCTV Operator your role will be to operate the surveillance system by monitoring, recording and
relaying CCTV images. Liaising with the Police and other Agencies when necessary. Working in accordance with the staff rota the service is looking to employ Casual Operators predominantly covering Sunday and Monday including Bank Holidays and night shifts at enhanced rates of pay.
You will form part of a small team in a closed and confidential environment.
Capable of working on your own initiative with the ability to prioritise, you should demonstrate excellent communication skills. You must be able to work and concentrate under pressure with the ability to cope with disturbing incidents calmly. Effective observation skills and attention to detail are vital to produce accurate records and witness statements for court. You need to becomputer literate and able to operate the surveillance system following a period of training.
