Job Overview
QC Analyst – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Part‑time flexi hours, 20‑25 hrs per week. £20,000 pro rata.
Responsibilities
* Perform analytical and physical testing on raw materials, semi‑finished and finished products.
* Evaluate results to ensure everything meets GMP, specifications and customer expectations.
* Collect, receive and archive samples – from raw materials to water and swab samples.
* Support production by ensuring testing is completed efficiently and on time.
* Maintain, calibrate and perform minor repairs on laboratory equipment.
* Conduct testing for validation, stability studies and method transfers.
* Interpret and report analytical data in electronic systems.
* Prepare certificates of analysis for customers.
* Investigate OOS results, deviations and other quality‑related issues.
* Keep the lab clean, organised and fully stocked.
* Train and support new colleagues.
* Coordinate external testing and monitor progress.
* Draft specifications, procedures and analytical documentation.
* Stay up to date with scientific and regulatory developments.

* Clear communication and great teamwork across departments.
Essential skills and experience
* At least 3 years' experience in a GMP pharmaceutical QC laboratory.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, UV‑VIS, Karl Fischer, titration, TOC, IR, and physical testing.
* Confidence working with laboratory equipment and data systems (including CDS, Word and Excel).
* Good understanding of GMP, EHS and company procedures.
* Strong problem‑solving ability and investigative skills.
Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) in Chemistry or equivalent scientific discipline.
All successful candidates will be required to complete a basic DBS check before employment can commence.
