Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Domiciliary Support Worker to join our team in Northwich, UK. As a valued member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
1. Assist service users with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
2. Support with medication management, ensuring correct dosages and timely administration
3. Help with meal preparation and feeding when required
4. Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
5. Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
6. Accompany service users to appointments or social activities as needed
7. Monitor and report any changes in service users' health or wellbeing
8. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concerns
9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
10. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures
11. Access to your own motor vehicle or motorbike/bike
Qualifications
12. Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar care-giving role is preferred
13. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
14. Physical fitness to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
15. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
16. Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care
17. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
18. Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping
19. NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care is desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification
20. First Aid certification is advantageous
21. Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred due to the nature of the role
22. Understanding of person-centred care principles and safeguarding procedures
23. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
24. Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
Additional Information
Rate of pay: Week days £13.75-£14.75 per hour, Weekend Rate £14.75 per hour. 30p per mile.
