We are recruiting for an ambitious Data Analyst looking for a new challenge in the world of tunnelling construction on the new HARP (Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme) project.

Required:
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrable experience in the development of reports and dashboards to a diverse set of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of end-to-end BI report creation, including data modelling, ETL processes, and UI design.
Experience with Power Query and DAX calculations (or equivalent).
Desirable:
An understanding of the construction or infrastructure industries
Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (e.g. Power Automate, Power Apps) to support end-to-end data workflows and automation.
Microsoft PL-300 certification (Power BI Data Analyst Associate) or similar industry-recognised certification.
Understanding of Microsoft Azure (or similar cloud platform) and its services, to support analytics and reporting workflows.
Familiarity with security and governance processes, e.g. row-level security (RLS), and managing workspace roles and permissions.

HARP is a major scheme to maintain drinking water supplies across Cumbria, Lancashire and Greater Manchester for future generations. The Haweswater Aqueduct is a 110km pipeline which runs from the Lake District, through Lancashire and into Greater Manchester. Originally constructed in the 1950s, the pipeline needs essential upgrade work and will see the replacement of the existing tunnel sections to ensure it can continue to supply customers for generations to come.
Monitor and audit data quality.
Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content.
Gather, understand and document detailed requirements and interface contracts using appropriate tools and techniques.
Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the STRABAG business/project requirements.
Train and support business users with their reporting needs.
Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools.
Create dashboards, graphs and visualisations to present data in effective and impactful ways.
Provide sector and competitor benchmarking.
Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool.
Work with the Information Management, Project Controls, Project and Divisional teams to develop the STRABAG Data and Digitisation strategies.
