Overview
I am currently recruiting for experienced and approachable Public Liaison Officer to support my client's ongoing project and act as the key link between the site team and the surrounding community.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary contact for residents, businesses, and local stakeholders.
* Communicate project timelines, works schedules, road closures, and potential disruptions.
* Prepare and distribute public notices, newsletters, and community updates.
* Attend resident meetings, stakeholder briefings, and community engagement events.
* Log and manage all public enquiries, feedback, and complaints.
* Work closely with construction and site management teams to provide solutions and minimise impact.
* Maintain accurate records of communications and actions taken.
* Support with promoting safety and ensuring compliance with public engagement requirements.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Public Liaison, Resident Liaison, Community Engagement, or customer-facing role.
* Background in construction or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
* Confident dealing with members of the public and managing sensitive issues.
* Ability to travel to site as required; a driving licence is advantageous.
