Role Overview
Reed has partnered with an organisation in the FMCG sector that is seeking a Commercial Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This organisation has experienced significant growth over the past 6 years, with an increase in turnover by 25 million.
The role focuses on increasing the company's market share and profitability by expanding existing customer relationships and securing new business across current and new channels. Responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new opportunities, collaborating with teams like NPD and Finance, and maintaining high service standards for existing customers. Building strong relationships with Buyers to enhance customer satisfaction is also vital.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve Commercial Objectives: Develop plans, allocate resources, and review performance to meet commercial targets.
* Business Development: Drive new business growth and expand existing accounts.
* Commercial Strategy: Formulate and execute strategies aligned with company goals to maximize profitability and ensure sustainable growth.
* Client and Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, addressing their needs promptly.
* Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including finance and operations, to implement commercial initiatives.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance commercial processes and operational efficiency.
* Key Account & Commercial Management:
o Hold weekly meetings with cross-functional teams to review customer activity.
o Manage critical paths for NPD and new product launches.
o Communicate with customers to resolve service issues, working with the site team to provide solutions.
o Coordinate with the site team to supply product samples and information to customers.
o Conduct periodic sales meetings to discuss performance and identify new opportunities.
o Complete commercial documentation for new lines and ensure timely submission.
o Perform regular store checks and update stakeholders on RSPs, weights, and new lines.
o Follow directives from the Group Director regarding product selling strategies as needed.
