Our client, a successful FinTech firm, is seeking a technical solutions engineer/integration specialist to support and onboard their growing client base. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of customer integrations with the firm’s trading application, from onboarding through future feature builds. The ideal candidate is a versatile tech professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with extensive experience in Python and SQL. You should also be comfortable troubleshooting, configuring, and understanding back-end services and APIs.
This is a full-time, remote position, working UK hours. The firm does not yet have a UK office, so the role is fully remote, with occasional onsite client work (1-3 times a week).
Please note that this role requires extensive experience with Python and is not a business analyst position. Additionally, candidates must have prior experience working with financial trading systems.
Key responsibilities:
* Work with clients to configure the platform with external systems (e.g., trading venues, client systems).
* Handle custom integrations between client systems and the platform, gathering requirements, liaising with the client and team, and assisting with implementation.
* Ensure timely delivery of client requests and provide day-to-day support and onboarding.
Required qualifications:
* Proficient in Python and SQL (with the ability to create queries involving selects, joins, and data aggregation).
* Direct experience integrating with APIs (REST or gRPC).
* Strong troubleshooting skills (e.g., tracing log files, resolving or escalating issues).
* Experience in institutional finance.
* Eperience in a related technical role (e.g., dev ops, technical support, integration specialist, solutions engineer, SDET, or similar).
* Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a technical field.
* Available to work London/UK hours.
Nice to have:
* Basic understanding of capital markets/trading.
* Experience in a small to medium-sized company (preferred).
* Experience interfacing with clients from both a support and technical perspective.
* Experience in C# or Java.
* Familiarity with server infrastructure support and PowerShell.
