Nursery roles - September 2026

Ready to take the next step in your Early Years career? Due to an exciting expansion, LEO Academy Trust is seeking passionate individuals for a range of vital roles, including inspiring Nursery Managers, dedicated Nursery Practitioners, enthusiastic Nursery Assistants and Early Years Educator Apprentices at West Ashtead Primary Academy.

Join our growing team and commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, helping us provide a high standard of care and education in a stimulating, secure, and friendly environment for children aged 9 months to 5 years. Nursery Manager £35,172 - £43,052

40hrs per week

term time plus 1 week

Nursery Practitioner £25,052 - £26,825

hours to be agreed

term time plus 1 week

Nursery Assistant £24,330 hours and working pattern to be agreed

Early Years Educator Apprentice £8 per hour as per apprenticeship 30 hrs per week minimum

*all salary information is dependent on experience and qualifications.

The Small Print

All candidates should detail how they meet the aspects of the person specification for the role. You should describe your suitability against the person specification, ensuring that you cover all essential criteria by providing evidence and examples of proven experience. In line with statutory requirements, all appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. These include:

10. Obtaining an enhanced DBS certificate.
11. Confirmation of identity and the right to work in the UK.
12. Overseas checks where applicable.
13. Verification of professional qualifications.
14. Checking at least two professional references and explanations for any gaps in employment.
15. As part of our due diligence and in line with KCSIE guidance, an online search (including social media) will be conducted for all shortlisted candidates.
