They are a leading engineering organisation based in East Kilbride that designs and develops high-performance charging products for industrial vehicles, warehouse automation and other electrified equipment. As demand continues to grow, they are looking to add a Junior Test Engineer to support product development and production test activities within their engineering team.
This role offers hands-on experience developing and supporting automated test systems for both R&D and production environments. You will work closely with experienced engineers across hardware, software, mechanical and manufacturing disciplines, gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle-from initial concept through verification, qualification and into volume manufacture.
The role:
* Support hardware and software testing of battery charging and power conversion products
* Assist in developing and maintaining automated test solutions (bench and production)
* Work alongside hardware and software engineers to verify new product designs
* Carry out functional and verification testing
* Record, analyse and report test results clearly and accurately
The person:
* Degree, HND or equivalent in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or similar discipline)
* Some hands-on experience with electronics testing (university projects, placement or first role)
* Basic programming experience in Python or NI LabVIEW
* Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs and power supplies
* Strong willingness to learn and develop
* Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
