We have been instructed by a major insurance sector client to find an experienced clinical negligence solicitor for a unique fixed-term contract opportunity within their in-house legal audit function.
Role Overview
This is a 1-year fixed term contract position within a close-knit legal audit team of four, operating as part of a larger in-house audit and risk function.
The role involves conducting audits on external panel law firms, reviewing clinical negligence and personal injury case files to assess risk and performance, and help make underwriting decisions.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
We are seeking a qualified solicitor with:
1. A minimum of 3 years’ PQE in clinical negligence claims work.
2. Solid understanding of claims processes, risk assessment and civil procedure.
3. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
4. The ability to review complex cases and provide clear, concise recommendations
Additional desirable experience includes:
5. Exposure to commercial litigation
6. Experience within a compliance, risk, or legal audit environment
This role would particularly suit a solicitor seeking an alternative application of their legal expertise outside of standard private practice fee-earning, or someone looking to broaden their experience within legal risk and audit.
What’s on Offer?
7. Salary £50,000–£60000.
8. 5% completion bonus payable at the end of the 12-month contract.
