Senior Business Systems Support Analyst – Acturis
Hybrid Working - 1 Day Per Week in Milton Keynes
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Support Analyst to support Acturis and other core insurance systems. This key SME role involves 2nd line support, driving improvements, and mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver management information to senior leadership.
* Support projects utilizing Acturis as a core system.
* Assess system updates and coordinate tasks with the Applications Manager.
* Create user-friendly guides and train Super Users on technical upgrades.
* Maintain accurate system configuration records.
* Analyse and improve business processes, identifying automation opportunities.
* Gather user feedback and liaise with Acturis for enhancements.
* Share best practices and guidance with Super Users.
* Create and execute test scripts for UAT of new features.
* Provide responsive 2nd line support via the Acturis helpdesk.
* Manage helpdesk logs, ensuring timely issue resolution and escalation.
* Identify recurring issues, training needs, or system improvements.
* Support document template team as needed.
* Mentor junior team members in Acturis.
Skills & Attributes
* Minimum 5 years' experience supporting Acturis (essential).
* Background in support or systems administration preferred.
* Strong knowledge of the insurance sector and operations.
* Awareness of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, FCA, TCF) is advantageous.
* Experience in insurance or financial services is ideal.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Confident negotiator and stakeholder communicator.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Willingness to mentor and develop colleagues.
