Practice Manager – Pharmacy
Location: Bromborough
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent, Day shift (44 hours per week)
Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role is a hybrid of patient care and commercial focus. The role is accountable for delivering Pharmacy‑related targets and deadlines, managing the store Pharmacist and Pharmacy colleagues, and supporting the drive to make Asda Pharmacy a best‑in‑class business.
Key responsibilities
* Lead, coach and develop the pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient experience and achieve high levels of patient safety.
* Take direct responsibility for the support and development of all direct reports and locums, maintaining high standards of professional customer service and compliance with GPhC operating standards and clinical governance.
* Manage pharmacy‑related targets, deadlines and commercial objectives, balancing line management with pharmacist duties to ensure safe working.
* Collaborate with in‑store, regional and home‑office teams for clinical or service based queries, providing expert advice and support.
* Address challenging situations, maintain solid connections with field teams, and uphold Solv regulations.
Qualifications and experience
* Fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
* Experience delivering national and local NHS services and private healthcare.
* Line‑management experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to meet defined KRAs.
* Ability to balance pharmacist and line‑management roles within safe working parameters.
* Experience challenging and solving difficult situations, maintaining connections with store and field teams.
* Current DBS check, live update service enrolment, safeguarding qualifications, and valid right to work in the UK.
