Your Mission at Elis We are looking for a Supply Chain Planning Manager to manage the end-to-end supply chain on all product ranges through automated or manual replenishment to maximise service to laundries whilst optimising cost. There is a requirement to provide detailed analytical support across the Supply Chain function, the successful candidate will report into the Supply Chain Director in Andover. Sales & Operational Planning Process: Accountable for all data provision into this key tactical business process. Responsibilities include: review and sign off of all data; development of the S&OP meeting materials; attendance at the meeting; providing technical input regarding both process inputs and decisions. Demand Planning: Accountable for the design, execution and continuous improvement of the Demand Planning process across all sectors. This will include ensuring that appropriate analysis is completed using robust statistical methods, such that operational and tactical decisions to optimise the supply chain are made. The incumbent will become the lead subject matter expert in both the process and tools utilised within this process. Materials Resource Planning: Accountability for the configuration and maintenance of the MRP system. This includes technical ownership, configuration for new products and identifying improvement opportunities, such that on time in full (OTIF) is maximized while minimizing the value of stock on hand. Product Supply: Lead the team to ensure that the upstream supply chain is well managed, including: Timely placement of orders; Open Order Book Management; Escalation of delays; timely payment and managing reporting to identify risks and issues and minimize impacts. BI: Take ownership for the Supply Chain Business Intelligence platform, being accountable for defining new measures (including KPIs) and maintaining existing measures. People Management & Leadership : This is a senior role within the UK Supply Chain team. Direct people management for one individual (Supply Chain Analyst). In addition the incumbent is expected to assist in the technical leadership, training and development of remaining Supply Chain team members. Analytical Support : Provide detailed and complex analytical support across the supply chain, to include Demand Forecast Accuracy, safety stock and cover calculations and recommended statistical smoothing techniques to drive optimisation. Stock Analysis : The operation holds in excess of £7M of stock on average at any point in time. The Planning team is accountable to understand inventory valuation trends as well as ensuring that stock adjustments are understood and challenged (where appropriate) both individually and over time. Projects : Continuous improvement is a key component of the Supply Chain. The Planning Manager will lead at least one improvement project at any point in time – typically of a high level of complexity. The Planning Manager is responsible for leading the Supply Chain side of IT implementation projects that impact S&OP, Demand Planning and Material Resource Planning. Additionally, they will provide key data to others for input to formal improvement projects. They will become the primary reference point for all project data queries from ERP within the team. The incumbent will become Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified and be targeted with execution of at least 2 formal improvement projects per year What will make you stand out? You will Ideally be educated to degree level (Maths, Business or Science) Have experience of forecast and replenishment systems ideally Slim4 and AX. Have a strong analytical background, including a proven track record in the practical application of analysis and how this has led to improved outcomes. The ability to demonstrate a high level of numeracy. Have strong Excel skills Be a strong collaborative team player and have interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across teams with Supply Chain and with suppliers. Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working with a Demand Planning process.
