We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join our team in Wigan on a full time, permanent basis. The successful Commercial Analyst will be responsible for turning complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions, support growth and improved profitability. Working closely with sales, product and finance you will provide the business with accurate reporting, robust analysis and data-driver recommendations.

As our Commercial Analyst your Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities will include;
* Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities and risks
* Produce clear, insightful reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
* Develop and maintain product pricing models, ensuring competitiveness and profitability
* Partner with New Product Development (NPD) teams to evaluate the commercial viability of new products
* Assess the profitability of existing products and make recommendations for optimisation
* Collaborate with sales, product and finance teams to align pricing strategy with business objectives
* Present findings and commercial recommendations to management and key stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner
* Review macro-economic factors which could affect departments commercially (forecasts, pricing, logistics etc) including (but not exhaustive to) exchange rate, UK economy & consumer confidence
* Working closely with the finance team on annual budgets and forecasting, providing accurate data and variance analysis
* Providing support in commercial analysis cross department with a key focus on accurate reporting against budget and business KPIs
Our ideal Commercial Analyst will have the following skills / experience;
* Strong background in commercial analysis working with large data sets and creating reports
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualisation or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability with keen attention to detail
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data to non-technical audiences
* Experience in pricing strategy and/or product profitability analysis is highly desirable
* Degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field preferred
* Good team player with a positive attitude to driving team goals
