A client within the Public Sector based in Cambridgeshire is currently recruiting for an Highways Project Delivery Coordinator to join their Project Delivery team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Highways & Transport environment.
The Role
The key purpose of the role is to support the effective delivery of transport infrastructure projects, contributing to the planning, coordination and successful execution of schemes that improve the highways network.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Supporting Project Managers with delivery of low- to medium-complexity transport infrastructure projects
• Assisting with preparing technical reports, progress updates and budget monitoring
• Planning and coordinating project activities using software such as MS Project or Asta
• Supporting procurement processes via NEC3 contract frameworks or equivalent
• Conducting site visits and working with councils, contractors, stakeholders and community groups
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in Highways & Transport or infrastructure project delivery
• Experience supporting capital projects and understanding of project lifecycle
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM Regulations
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project) and strong IT skills
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £250 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £200 per day PAYE).
