Children’s Residential Support Worker – Hereford (HR1 & HR4)
Salary: £27,600 p/a (non-qualified role) | £29,000 p/a (qualified role) (including 5 contractual sleeps per month)
Hours: Average 37.5 hours p/w (163 hours p/m) FTE pro rata for part time

Your Role:
* Build trusting relationships with children, offering support, guidance, and stability
* Plan and deliver fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities to help children develop skills and confidence
* Collaborate with families, schools, and external professionals to ensure children receive the best support
* Be a positive role model and encourage children to flourish
* Maintain clear records of daily observations and progress
What You Need:
Assistant Care Practitioner (non-qualified):
* No prior experience required — full support and training provided to achieve your Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma
* A genuine passion for working with children and making a difference
* A positive, hands‑on approach to providing support, stability, and fun
* Resilience and the ability to adapt to challenges
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep‑ins
* Full UK driving licence with less than 6 points (company cars provided)
Care Practitioner (qualified):
* Minimum 1 year experience in residential childcare or working with challenging behaviours
* Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma (or equivalent)
* A confident and engaging approach to supporting children’s development and wellbeing
* Ability to provide consistent support, structure, and positive experiences for young people
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep‑ins
* Full UK driving licence with less than 6 points (company cars provided)
